| I wanted to get it but since I already had Silver for gameboy, I didn't want to get it again...I will be getting Black or White when it comes out | |

| I still own a copy of the Jap Silver, before it was orignaly released in america, and I'm blown away at how much better it is. I'm semi excited for Black/White, but all these new ones get stranger and stranger, lol | |

| "Stranger and stranger" meaning "dumber and dumber" but I still love it...I NEED a game where it's an actual action game where you can actually control the pokemon and not this simple RPG game and just the attacks | |

| I like it as an RPG game. Mince wants a Pikachu of War, or a Grand Theft Squirtle, lol | |

| Pokemon would make a sweet multiplayer sandbox / adventure style game. Kinda MMOish but different. I guess like Demon's Souls as far as player interaction. Always connected to a semi living and breathing world, but able to just spend time with your critters or explore a wilderness... go walk down a 'public area' set up like a PS Home lobby or something and go challenge people for fun. Or an Arena type lobby and challenge for currency or a tournament type lobby for currency and notoriety. Or pink slip your Pokes and whoever wins has to give up one of their monsters. Group up with a coupla other trainers (or solo it if you're the strong silent type) and go around exploring wilderness or caverns for super powerful mythical Pokes, or teaming up to combat whatever the resident bad guys are. I assume its still team rocket, haven't been in the Poke scene since Silver. I used to tear up fools at the TCG too ^_^; I have a few ideas for the battle system, to keep it close to its roots, but evolve it a little. Man. Well. My two cents about where I'd like to see the series go. I wouldn't like it to lose its RPG elements at all. Nor the catch em all feeling. But we're coming into new times, and to avoid staleness, genre pioneering must be done. I think galavanting round with your Poke's in a more realized world would connect em to you better too...(as much as one can connect to an AI pet?) Or you could be a greedy bastard and just get like 200 of em and leave em at the daycare like a bad trainer, go play some SF for a few hours, and come back to magically stronger Pokes who resent you and grow up to be alcoholics cause you never gave em that good old trainer master TLC. No more posting after work, coffee and beer. Edit: Mince, if you wanna control the Pokes, go play SSBB. Pokemon's about being a trainer | |

| Funny you mention SSBB...I use Pokemon Trainer as my main (or I did in the past), picked it up again the other day actually to play with some friends and used the trainer, man I love that character (or 3). As awesome as Charizard is in normal Pokemon standards, he sucks in SSBB. Squirtle is actually OP and Ivysaur does pretty good damage when used right | |

| Well, I'm over 24 hours in, and maybe 1/3 the way through the game. I forgot how stupidly hard Silver was in certain areas. 3rd Gym, hadta over-level my whole squad by 5 lvl just to squeek out a win against the leader.
Whats worse is, when I finally get to Kanto, it's supposedta get even harder... GRAH!
It's prolly just my lineup, but they are all badass in their own right.
Current Squad: Lvl 28 Quilava Lvl 27 Pidgeotto Lvl 28 Gyarados Lvl 30 Ampharos Lvl 27 Tauros Lvl 29 Gloom
I wanted to start out with Chikorita (My personal favourite pokemon EVER), but she just gets decemated by the first few Gyms. Actually, she has it pretty tough till I beat the Elite 4...
Also, I've only ever picked the water starter ONE time EVER, and thats on my current run-through of Blue version, lol. I hate the water starters...

| Ivysaur is awesome in SSBB if you get a good launch. Juggle all day.
I was an Ice Climbers guy myself.

| Ampharos has been more useful in a fight than any of my other pokemon, lol. I agree Gloom sucks, but he's there mostly for Cut, lol.
Only other Elec type I've come across so far is Magnemite, an I hate that lil bastard, so I'm stickin with Ampharos. Atleast till I can get Entei/Zapdos/Elekid.
Also, I never played SSBB, only SSB, and I mained Fox in that, lol
PS. Mincey, my mom bought a Wii, lol

| I played both, Metroid Prime 3 was good (still want to get Other M) Madworld (as gruesome and awesome as it is - the most horrific game on Wii) it got tiresome fast I feel | |

| Just beat the 8th Gym leader, got my masterball, and... I'm starting over, lol
My lil bro just picked up Heart Gold, so I'm gonna transfer my rare pokes and items to his game and start anew with my favourite starter, Chikorita.
When we usedta play when we were little, he always took the Fire starter, and I always took the grass(better imho) EXCEPT, in Ruby/Saphire/Emerald, were I took Torchic, cause the other starter's sucked balls, even torchic sucked, but the lesser of 3 evils I suppose.
I haven't played D/P/P yet, but I'll prolly use Piplup or Chimchar when I do get it, and when Black/White comes out, I'm picking... Grass type, lol
