Marvel vs Capcom 3

I'm getting it for PS3 (not really excited at all for it lol) but my friend is trying to convince me to get it for xbox as well

I'll probably wind up getting it as well but in a week or too. The game actually got me pretty excited about it, although I am disappointed how easy the combos are... It won't be taking any attention away from SSF4 tho. I'll still be playing it on a regular basis

The combos are actually relatively easy, almost seems like you don't have to practice at all for timing (which is a huge disappointment cause getting the timing down in SSFIV made it feel special). I'm not using the pad at all for this game so I'm going to learn stick finally It's not bad, very flashy, quick fun (though it's going to take me a long ass time to get it down pat like I did SFIV). Like BB said, I won't let it topple SF for me, that is my number one fighter of all

I see MVC3 being is a fun alternative to SSF4 but I get the feeling the hype will die out once everyone starts getting better at it and start abusing things in the game. I already see Arthur and Sentinel as a problem. Most ppl love MVC3 now cause it's new and different and of course the hype from MVC2. Also, it's probably a lot easier to pick up from SF4. We'll see how everything goes in a month or two

This game is nuts. The comboing is weird. I keep trying to link at a slower pace like in SSF4, its not working like that.

It's like every single combo is a target combo, there is no timing it feels like...I didn't like MVC2 and I knew I wasn't going to like this game really but I got it anyway I just gotta give it more time

this game feels like sf4 version 2 but everything just chains.

its pretty fun imo. i can understand why people call it crack and turns out the learning curve is not steep at all. if u have played for a few hours u should be able to do all the trials. those few hours will help u with chaining normals and get used to the timing of things like jumping early, jumping late, delaying launcher and etc. right now im just finishing all th trials, and i was also able to play a few real versus matches, and it feels like i can actually apply things i know from sf4 into this game

Just started playing this game yesterday, offline unfortunately as my online is still on haiatus. I'm really loving it. though. It's definitely more 'mash-friendly' at a beginner level, i'm finding, and the combos for each character aren't terribly unique. But what I adore about it is the fast-paced aggression, multitudes of mix-ups, visual asthetic, and great set of characters.

Never really being a big mvc2 player, this game feels really fresh and exciting, and a great way to not study for exams this term.

What teams are you guys using, if you stick to anyone at all?

I usually alternate between Hagar, wolverine, s.skrull, m.o.d.o.k, zero and sentinal. I pretty much just use modok for lols though.

Right now I'm using Viper, Morgan, and Deadpool (though I'm not too big a fan of Deadpool, he's just there till I find someone my style)
