Site Cleanup

Perhaps it may be time to consider adjusting the ROSTER page. Over half of the people that are on the ROSTER page either do not post here, haven't visited here in over 2 months, or have never ever visited/posted. Perhaps it's time that we clean it up to what we currently are as Team Descrubify. I don't know about you guys, but if I hire someone, and they don't show up for work, they don't have a job anymore. Just how I feel.

I've loved the shit that Mince and Smooth have done, and I would like for it to continue, and maybe become something more. I know you 2 aren't the boss around here, but some shit needs to change. It's not good for our guests, and other people who visit, to be expecting commentary/advice from the people on the ROSTER page (expecting them to be our best), only to find that most of them don't post... ever.

Also, we do have videos of us playing, shouldn't we add that to the videos section?

Next, how would we do rankings? Mince first, rest of us last? I dunno. The tropies thing doesn't make sense either.

Maybe we should also post something new in the news section, since no one has posted in it for over a year.

Plus, I've always wondered, why the hell are we a mouse with a bazooka when we're mainly about fighting games? If anyone can answer that, let me know.

Can you not see the AMERICAN(ness) of a mouse with a bazooka? Though, I thinka new logo is in order, maybe we should hold a design contest for one or something. . . I hadn't thought about that.

I agree with the roster cleanup... I've not seen the guy who started DSB around in forever. Hence why Smooth and Mince are admins now.

I'd guess rankings could be done by tiers, or some kind of a ranbat we could set up.

I have felt the same way in a long time. The problem is, even with BB and me ranking up to Admin, our abilities to work with the site are very limited. Leon is the only one who can truly modify the forums. I'm still tinkering around with the site so there will be a few more changes going on and your suggestions will definitely take into effect.

I originally thought that them setting up this forum was part of their class assignment. It was to an extent but after inviting several of us, it became much more substantial. We made it bigger and had it come alive so it evolved past just a class assignment. A lot of the people on the members page were classmates and friends (I believe) who didn't even play.

My first goal is to do a complete overhaul of the main home page. As of right now, I have yet to find some way to change anything on it. I believe it's only available to the moderator (Leon). I'll keep playing around to find a way to change it. With these changes, I'll change all the links there (videos, pictures, roster, etc).

For the videos, once I get my new computer, I'll be able to load our matches again. Thank goodness! I've missed uploading

The next step I want to do is add a YouTube Widget on the forums page on the left side. I am able to add one but it, for some reason, doesn't align with the rest. Yay playing around with the site! lol

BB and I will do our best to improve the site.

And hopefully, maybe, Leon will stop working and join us once in awhile lol

So setting myself up as a moderator didn't help. Apparently I have to be the founder lol

Maybe it's time for us to move on to our own area since the founder doesn't ever visit this page to change it. I dunno. Setting up a new set of forums seems easy enough by clicking the link below. I don't want it to come to that, but Leon never shows up enough, and hasn't changed anything/edited anything in almost a year. Perhaps we should consider something else?

Moderators are typically lower than admins. Usually used for post control. We don't need that so much, as we're all pretty well mannered. If we grow we'll need mods.

As for transferring, I'm up for it. Having full site control's a beautiful thing :p

Making a new site is too much work.. Maybe if we get 100+ people then we can make a new site.. But we're at like 20 right now..
