--- DICE promised a sizable patch for the PC version of Battlefield 3 and they have delivered. The just-released game update includes a lengthy list of fixes and enhancements, including some big changes to the multiplayer squad features. Oddly, the release notes make no mention of a fix for the game's Tactical Flashlight weapon attachment. DICE promised a fix for the game's ridiculously blinding Tactical Flashlights earlier this month, so hopefully this was added in that patch.

--- While the launch of Call of Duty: Elite was not without its problems, Activision would like you to know that it has sold one million premium membership in its first week, and that the service is now fully functional for "anyone who wants to try Call of Duty Elite." Since Call of Duty Elite's launch on November 8, more than four million gamers have already registered for the new online service overall. More than 80,000 Elite clans have been created, 100,000 user-generated videos have been uploaded to Call of Duty Elite and the service has had more than three million daily logins.

--- Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Diablo III are inching toward reality. With Blizzard filling out its development team, the company has been talking about its ambitions for the project.

--- Unless you live in Japan, you've likely never played (or even heard of) Itadaki Street. This virtual board game series was originally created by Yuji Horii, the man behind Dragon Quest. It first premiered on Nintendo's Famicon more than two decades ago, and has up until now been a Japan exclusive. That all changes next month, when the series - relabeled Fortune Street - makes its first stateside appearance, care of Nintendo's Wii.

--- The newest update for the Xbox Dashboard will hit December 6th. Be prepared for cloud saves, a new look, and Bing to hit Xbox Live in just two weeks.

--- Thousands of Xbox Live users have fallen victim to a phishing scheme perpetrated by online thieves. The scam entailed sending emails to users directing them to a phoney website offering free Microsoft Points. To redeem the points, individuals were asked to enter confidential information, allowing the criminals to access their bank accounts. An average of $155 has been stolen from gamers but it has totaled into the millions.

--- Sony says it doesn't want to be late to the party with its next generation 'PlayStation 4'. Speaking at a Vita press event in London, PlayStation Europe boss Jim Ryan said, "I think we would consider it undesirable to be significantly later than the competition...There's still a lot of unfinished business on PS3." With Wii U launching in 2012 and talk of the new Xbox 720 or 'Loop', Sony doesn't want to fall behind.

--- To prepare for use on PCs in 2012, Microsoft has upgraded the Kinect hardware to help developers come up with new ways to utilize the device.

--- It seems Sony could well be working on its own take on Smash Bros., Nintendo's beloved first-party fighting game series. Called (or at least code-named) Title Fight, the project, supposedly in development at SuperBot Entertainment, features a range of Sony's first-party mascosts squaring off against each other in a fighting game.

--- According to US OXM, People Can Fly may be developing the next Gears of War trilogy as a prequel to Gears 1, 2, and 3. As you may know, People May Fly developed Bulletstorm and are owned by Epic Games. The rumor states another trilogy is in the works but this time they would focus on how Marcus and the rest of the COG got into the mess that was Emergence Day.

--- EA will soon start handing out vouchers for Battlefield 1943 to honor the promise that was broken when Battlefield 3 for PS3 didn’t ship with a free copy of the downloadable shooter, a mistake that recently led to a class action lawsuit being filed against EA. The vouchers will be available in the U.S. starting December 10, in Europe November 26, and Asia December 17.
