Gen changes in SSFIV.

Yeb finally got a chance to thoroughly play the game recently. Here's some notes...

- Mantis s.mk can still be cancelled into specials.
- HP Hands pushes the opponent too far back to follow up with anything.
- Hands can be cancelled into Mantis Super after any of the first 4 hits.
- Mantis c.lk can be linked into s.mp.
- Gekiro is invincible to throws.
- EX Gekiro may have full strike invincibility (he didn't test it fully).
- Oga cross-ups are gone.
- EX Oga is still invincible to throws and fireballs, but not strikes.
- Mantis Ultra II can't combo off juggles.
- Crane Super is a lot faster. One of Gen's Trials is Gekiro to Crane Super.

Things sound pretty bad. With EX Oga losing invincibility, the Zangief match will be even worse. Abel will be a nightmare too.

I can't understand why Oga cross-ups were removed. Talk about sticking the knife in!

Seth Killian was quoted as saying, "Gen players will prefer the new Gen." If he really thinks faster Ogas and a slightly buffed Gekiro warrant all the nerfs, he's a bigger idiot than I thought.

I would start a petition, but there aren't enough Gen players to make a difference.

All you can do in times like this is laugh...

I prefer the old Gen any day but I guess I can't complain...just laugh I am a little ticked about the oga cross up gone. And I still think they shoulda left EX-Oga alone. Gief, Abel, Hawk and Hakan will be a pain to fight...at least for me Start that petition Orochi, I'll make people sign it
