Apple's iPad

This is mostly cause of the new release of the iPad and honestly, it looks like a total waste of money. It's just a huge iPod Touch that does the exact same thing but it doesn't have the ease ability of travel like the Touch. Apparently a lot of people bought it but I can't see their reasoning.

Yes, I do like the iPod Touch cause of it's capabilities (music, wi-fi, games, etc.) and I just don't see the reasoning behind making the iPad. Was it to compete against items like the Kindle or eBook?
