| I'll be getting it pretty soon probably. And I'm back from university now, so I'll be online more frequently. Trying to decide whether to get this or re-buy street fighter. I might just wait for the AE expansion for the latter. | |

| free copy for pc? my brother would definitely like that. Are there any funky stipulations to that, or do you just need to put the disk into the pc once and done? | |

| to use the PC copy you link it to your ps3 account.
Some kind of steam link up.
There is a work around to be able to play both copies at the same time, like if you wanted to play co op together.
PS3 and PC users can play with one another. | |

| This is a fantastic game. A great step away from all the shooters that are releasing these days. It is a FPS game but in a totally different sense in that it's a puzzle game. And what a puzzle game! There were many moments that had me scratching my head wondering what to do. Sometimes I had to come back to the puzzle again another day to complete it. Definitely worth buying and playing.
Gameplay: It is a FPS like all the other shooters out there. The shooting, the walking, the picking items up, crouch, etc, are all the same. But that's where the similarities stop. You are held in captivity from a sadistic computer who gets pleasure from putting people through tests. You're objective is to make it to the end without falling into several of the traps that GLaDOS plants for you. To succeed to the end, you have to place portals around the room to get past these obstacles. As the game progresses, it gets that much more difficult.
Graphics: The CGI is amazing and absolutely beautiful. I love watching the videos cause they are so crisp. The actual gameplay graphics is standard for the 360 but the scope of the levels is breathtaking. It's insane how deep the rooms are and the sheer magnitude of some of the things you have to do is epic. They push the engine to it's limits.
Sounds: Great use of sound effects for everything in the game. The destruction of the levels, the globs of matter, your gun when it shoots the portals, everything is spot on. I love the voice acting. Very rare for companies to get the right voices for their characters but this succeeded. GLaDOS is perfect with her sadism and I LOVE Wheatley. I love his accent. And the music is great as well.
Replayability: This is where the game falls short because once you know how to beat the levels for both single and co-op, you know what to do. The only real reason to go back is to get the achievements if that's what you're into. Sorry to say that the puzzles don't change for multiple playthroughs.
Multiplayer/Online: I love the co-op. Solving puzzles with a friend is even more satisfying than playing the single player. The amount of things you have to do while depending on your friend is brilliant. A lot of the times I just didn't know what to do and I had to get my buddy to walk me through it. Bravo.
Overall: 9.6

| They will be doing a patch where people can send in their own ideas? That'll be cool! I'll probably come back to this game after a long time and get lost doing it again lol Give me about a year or two and I'll replay it (I tend to play my favorite games again after it sits on my shelf for awhile...only the games I really like) | |
