Yep, I wasn't too happy with that Gen vs. Dan vid. I got nothin from it..only Oga is slightly faster and Gen's jump arc is crap.

Gen's Crane overhead is faster. So is his fierce. His dash looks really fast too, but that might just be because the game is faster.

At 0:31 of the vid, the Gekiro seems to come out at a weird angle. Might be my imagination...

Yeah I noticed the Crane overhead and fierce watching it again. The dash is cause of the game being faster. I don't know about the Gekiro tho, it does seem a bit different. But it might be my imagination too

The only thing I don't like is the Mantis jump arc, but it shouldn't make things too bad.

How come gen's second ultra leaves the opponent with a huge chunk of gray life?

That's how the ultra works. It gives "shadow" damage (I think that's what its called). It doesn't directly do damage. I like how it works. Makes me wonder what I could do with it.

But can that shadow damage be regained? Like you get hit with gens ultra. Can you turtle your ass off til your life is restored?

Abel's ultra is so awesome. I can't wait to use Ken Cody and Abel

Yeah it can. If you look at Dan's health in the video you can see it grow back. So you have to be quick in hitting them after using the ultra.

Well that sucks. Hitting them with an ultra only for the life to be restored. I did like his air ultra though. Seems preety cool. His jump arc is freaking huge. It almost touches the ceiling.

Since you can recover your life from gens ultra, is it like the yugioh card Victory D? You know if you finish an opponent with gen's ultra you win the match instead of the round.

I don't know. I doubt it. That would be pretty cool tho.

I like the shadow damage idea, it makes your opponent hafta worry about getting hit with anything, an they may be more likely to make a stupid mistake.
