What's the cost on the room?

um we didn't book it yet but for the few nights we're staying, the one room we'll be staying in will be most likely $600 ish altogether

Not sure if I'm going yet... it depends if I get into this thing that I'm applying for over summer. It would be wicked if we could all meet up though.

So SSFIV:AE is the official game for EVO this year...with AE releasing DLC on June 7th, this gives us just under 2 months to practice the changes

Psh, why would it change the mind? There's an AE machin in SA that is set to free play. The venue accepts donation, and I intend to donate. EVO looks pretty badass. I wouldn't change my mind on the version of the game. Though, Vanilla SF4's Fei'd leave me limping more than I probably will be hahaha

I know some players who didn't want to go to EVO cause it was gonna be Super. But now that its AE, they want to go.

So did any of you change your mind in coming to EVO? It'll be a lot of fun!

I found a used DS2 controller in my local Gamestop (they said a customer brought it back like 5 mins before I came in) and it's practically brand new! It feels perfect and none of the buttons are worn out or nothing! Score!

I'm still planning to go, only thing that'll hold me back is finance really. Or if 4 chicks wanna have sex with me continuously for the period of EVO.

nah, haven't changed mind unfortunately, for several reasons; I'm a broke student, I will be in school over the summer, America scares me , and I just got a guinea pig.

Ok so here are a few things:

I'm getting there on Thursday around 10am. Figgy will be there around 5. Figgy reserved the room so we have to wait for him to arrive (which means I'm wandering around aimlessly lol). Pabbs is going by bus so he's going to be with his Laredo buddies.

The room has 2 beds so there is enough room for us. I don't mind sharing and I don't think Figgy minds as well so thre is space for all 4 of us. If need be, we can get a cot. The room is from Thursday to Monday (Figgy and I are leaving Monday) so feel free to stay one extra day and chill with your DSB brethren. Plus, since there will be 4 of us, the cost of the room is much, much less. Whoohoo!

So let us know that you are definitely in. Try to get that plane ticket ASAP as the prices will only go up from here. I put my number but have you and Proto text me (if you guys don't mind texting).

Also, on a side note. I'm making an EVO vid for me, Figgy and Pabbs. Now that you and Proto are coming, would you mind sending me some clips of your matches where you have good combos or endings or such? I'm trying to make it look epic. Thanks. Figgy and Pabbs already gave me theirs.

Yep!!! Can't wait! It would be awesome to split that room money with you guys, I was kinda hesitant about going if I had to get my own room. I can sleep on the floor if need be with no problem. I'll be there from Thursday to Monday as well, I'll send you a text so you know it's me and we can keep contact when the time comes near.

I'll be maining Blanka so I'll send you some cool moments from some of my online matches, Blanka really doesn't have a lot of combo abilities but he's a trickster and it's funny sometimes. Maybe I can send you some Guile stuff too

Is anyone bringing a ps3? or a tv?

Tvs should be already in the rooms. I've no problem bringing my PS3, or even an extra stick. Though the extra one I have is modded to almost the tightness of a DPad. If anyone needs one for the tourney let me know. I can switch the springs down to a looser throw.

I'm getting to Las Vegas at about 11AM. Leaving monday at 6AM so I can miss as little work as possible. Shoudl give some sufficient time to hang out. Prolly just will sleep on the plane sunday, unless somehow I get too drunk haha.

Yea there should be a tv there and Fei, that would be great if you can bring your PS3. I have a Dualshock 2 controller so no need for an extra stick for me lol and Figgy already has his own, don't know about Proto.
